Wedding season 2021 is off to an incredible start already - we are so excited to share about Lizz and Adam’s day!

Lizz and Adam were determined to get married on the day they planned - whether that meant wearing masks or via Zoom. This day was for them. We have been so impressed with everyone who is currently planning their weddings and their ability to focus on what is most important: starting their marriage, regardless of how it is done. While the day was not as originally hoped, Lizz and Adam were able to join together with their closest friends and family to get married and celebrate! While it may have been Plan X or Y due to Covid, it was a day filled with many special moments.

The happy couple decided to do a blindfolded first look, rather than both see each other! Lizz was able to see Adam and Adam was able to hear Lizz before she walked down the aisle. What a fun twist to meld together tradition and personal preferences!

Their ceremony was at Christ the King Church in Pleasant Hill, CA. The large sanctuary made for a beautiful space to share vows and gather with their guests. Lizz and Adam also had many friends and family who could not attend, including many in Italy. They teamed up with their DJ to have many who could not attend in person experience their wedding day via Zoom!

Following the reception, we snuck the newlyweds away to Larkey Park. The park was filled with families and the new Mr. & Mrs. were greeted by many “Congratulations” while we took their portraits. Lizz and Adam are naturals in front of the camera and soaked in the glow of having just shared their vows.

We headed next door to Lizz’s brother’s home following their time in front of the camera. The backyard reception and cocktail hour had begun! The backyard was transformed into the perfect reception space - filled with lights, candles, greenery, and plenty of laughter from guests enjoying their time. The couple was also able to connect with friends and family who were attending via Zoom!

When we first arrived where Lizz got ready for her wedding day, her mother pulled us aside. She let us know a special surprise would be happening at the reception. As a family filled with Cal Berkeley band alumni, Lizz’s family had a tradition of playing a few tunes at family and friends’ wedding receptions!

As the evening settled in, cake cutting, toasts, and an incredible first dance filled the schedule. Stories were shared that had people wiping away tears - happy, sad, and hilarious memories that many had not heard about. As Lizz and Adam danced during Golden Hour, there was a sense of calm among the guests - this moment was happening just as it was meant to be. Covid or not, Lizz and Adam were married and celebrating.

As drinks continued to be poured, we snagged a few last photos with the close friends who were honored to be apart of the wedding party - friends from near and far that hold special spots in Lizz and Adam’s hearts and have watched their love story unfold from so early on. Their personalities lit up the photos. The relationships between these friends will be cherished far beyond these captured moments.

Lizz and Adam, you have added a new chapter to your love story.

Continue to grow in love together and sharing the same excitement you held on your beautiful wedding day!
