Muir Woods is home to some of the most enchanting trees you'll ever walk through. The forest full of coastal redwoods are not only an unbelievable sight but a stunning location for engagement portraits. As Anastassiya and Tyler shared their vision for their engagement photos, nothing fit better than the National Monument in Mill Valley, just north of San Francisco.
From the raised boardwalks to protect the undergrowth of the redwood forest to staircases leading you above the trees, Muir Woods is full of some of the most tranquil, awe-inspiring scenery you can easily access.
Anastassiya and Tyler are currently living in Colorado and flew back home to Northern California to have their engagement portraits taken in Muir Woods. We loved their excitement to not only be back home in California's natural beauty but to be in front of the camera together. The intentionality behind the portrait session will certainly be a lasting memory in their wedding planning and preparation.
Following our stroll through the redwoods, we headed to Muir Beach Overlook for a coastal view. While much breezier and cooler than Muir Woods, Anastassiya and Tyler took the opportunity to snuggle in close and enjoy each other's presence to stay warm while still sharing their personalities.
