Alexis & Tommy's love story is a true San Francisco tale, one that began on the vibrant and eclectic Haight Street. They first met at the lively restaurant Cha-Cha-Cha, where the energy of the city matched their excitement. The night continued with drinks at Hobson’s Choice, setting the stage for what would become a deep and lasting connection. But it was their second date that truly captured the essence of their relationship and the city they call home.
On a sunny San Francisco day, they enjoyed brunch at Beach Chalet, overlooking the waves at Ocean Beach. Their time together was so effortless and joyful that they couldn’t resist extending the date, walking hand in hand along the beach and exploring the historic Sutro Baths. In that moment, neither could have imagined that this very spot would become the backdrop for a proposal a year later. Their story is one that could only unfold in San Francisco, a city as beautiful and timeless as their love.
Following a first look with her bridesmaids, Alexis walked along the Presidio in San Francisco to do see her groom for the first time on their wedding day. As Tommy turned around, you could feel the joy and instant relaxation among both of them. They took comfort with one another amid a busy start to the day. With wind and clouds surrounding the city, the Presidio still as breathtaking a view as ever of the Golden Gate Bridge. A fitting icon to capture in their San Francisco love story.
On the morning of their wedding, both Alexis and Tommy intentionally set aside time with their nearest and dearest friends whom they had asked to be a part of their wedding party. During wedding party portraits in the urban forest set behind Golden Gate Club, they shared laughter and smiles with the people that meant the world to them.
Come time for the ceremony, all were ready to make it official. With beautiful vows speaking towards their hopes of the future while reflecting on their relationship so far, Alexis and Tommy reveled in the warmness of the many family and friends that looked on. A quote by Rumi was shared by their dear friend and officiant that spoke to the moment perfectly: "Love is the bridge between you and everything."
Cocktail hour led into an elegant reception in the Ventana Room. Decadent table settings and florals made the space radiate with romance, just as Alexis had envisioned.
With many reception events on the agenda, they started with speeches from the best man, maid of honor, Alexis's father, and the newlyweds themselves. The outpouring of love from their community was a clear theme for the evening. As speeches came to an end and delicious meals were consumed, Alexis and Tommy opened the dance floor with their first dance. They danced to "Real Love Baby" by Father John Misty. Alexis and Tommy also honored their families with special dances with their parents before cutting their wedding cake.
As the dance floor opened and the evening progressed, the party continued. Drinks flowed and smiles were contagious, true signs of an enjoyable evening for these two old souls.
