Hannah and David's love story began in their college days as they met through a tutoring opportunity at their university. As they learned more about one another, the tutoring sessions later morphed into dates as their interest grew beyond friendship. As they pursued degrees and one another, they persevered through a period of long distance which helped their relationship grow ever stronger. As their academic and professional journeys continued, they found their way back to Santa Cruz where it all began.
From college to long distance to a pandemic to moving in and adopting their fur baby, Luca, Hannah and David happily tied the knot in May 2023.
As we arrived at Hannah's bridal suite, the room was abuzz with music and chatter. The many important ladies in Hannah's life excitedly prepared as Hannah got dolled up and slipped into her gown.
Early in the planning process, Hannah shared the importance of doing a first look with her dad. As she stepped out, the father of the bride's face turned to pure joy and filled with grand emotion as he saw his beautiful daughter on her wedding day.
Following a first look with her father, Hannah walked under a beautiful floral-filled arch for the first look with David. Hannah and David's excitement could not be contained as they embraced for the first time on their wedding day.
Hannah and David were happily surrounded with many friends from all stages of life. Laughter and jokes were shared as they reminisced about many moments shared with the bride and groom.
Guests and wedding party alike walked a path among the oak and pine trees to a sunny deck for the ceremony. With the sun shining down on them, Hannah and David exchanged personal vows that honored their love story and shared promises of the life they will build together as husband and wife. They broke glass and walked down the aisle to begin the next chapter of their lives.
For a moment of newlywed bliss, Hannah and David walked to the waterfall on property and basked in their excitement. Part of the beauty of their wedding venue, Living Well, is the natural beauty of the Santa Cruz Mountains becomes an unbeatable backdrop for any type of portraits.
The reception space was stunning with dappled sun highlighting the natural beauty. The muted colors of the table florals and linens were the perfect touch filled with romantic vibes.
Hannah and David went straight into their first dance. Their sway set the tone for the reception as fun, energetic, and romantic. As guests began to enjoy their meals, friends and family toasted to the happy couple while sharing both funny and touch stories of the couple.
As the sun lowered beyond the horizon, the warmth of the day escaped and left us with a cool evening - perfect for golden hour portraits filled with cuddling. As they took a moment to themselves, Hannah and David reflected on the joy of the day so far and their excitement for the remainder of the dancing grew!
Highlights from their dance included a fabulous outfit change by Hannah, the hora (the fabulous chair lift as a part of Jewish tradition at weddings), and a delicious cake cutting.
As the fog began to creep into the mountains and to end their memorable wedding day, Hannah and David stepped through a tunnel of friends and family lit by sparklers. Cheers surrounded the newlyweds as they danced their way through the sparkler light and sealed it all with a kiss.
