So every couple whose wedding we photograph, we ask for their love story. This love story we meld into a blog post to share with you, our readers and for the couple to share with their loved ones. The first sentence Andi & Mike typed into the form they sent back to us tells so much about their story.
It all started with music.
Andi & Alex are twin sisters who were in a band called She the Monster. Through the power of social media, they were connected with Mike and he began a consulting role for the band. The band broke up, but Andi & Alex continued their music journey on NBC’s The Voice. From there, Mike stepped in as manager and the relationship shifted from business to so much more.
On New Year’s Eve, as Andi & Mike arrived at Pilgrim Congregational Church the snow continued to fall. Guests slowly and safely made their way into the church pews to watch the two joyfully exchange vows, rings, and a first kiss to start their forever.
Surrounded by family and friends, Andi & Mike welcomed in their happy beginning. In true Wisconsin fashion, we made our way out to the snow for wedding party portraits - and we’re so glad that everyone was okay with a little snow!
Following the wedding party portraits, we snagged some time with the newlyweds! Andi & Mike put on their brave faces and endured extra time in the blizzard that continued on. They were truly walking in a winter wonderland…
The reception was hosted at the beautiful Gather on Broadway. Andi & Mike truly have an eye for details and that was shown so wonderfully at their reception. Family and friends welcomed Andi & Mike with open arms to begin the celebration and to end 2018 with plenty of love!
Little did we know what great dancing the evening would hold. The festivities featured good tunes and a surprise guest for Mike!
As the new year approached, the clock counted down. Champagne flutes were filled and everyone soaked in the last few moments of 2018…
And just like that,
2019 began
& so did Andi & Mike’s happily ever after.
