Linda and Mark's love story began thanks to mutual friends. After seeing each other at many important life events of their friends and trips to Napa and Boston, the spark finally was lit. After a first date following their time in Boston, they enjoyed their time together so greatly that it led to date after date after date. The rest is history.
On the day of their wedding, the cool air and overcast skies were a welcome greeting compared to the wet winter the Bay Area experienced. We joined Linda at her childhood home as she calmly prepared for the important day surrounded by family and friends.
Linda went on her way to Queen of Apostles Church for the ceremony to begin. Final touches were done as the ladies arrived and guests were seated for their Catholic wedding ceremony. Linda and Mark opted to not do a first look, so their first time seeing each other on their wedding day was as Linda glided down the aisle accompanied by her parents.
Following their cheerful ceremony, the wedding party made their way to Villa Montalvo - a beautiful Italian Mediterranean Revival mansion nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The cream colored mansion complemented the blue tones of their wedding colors and made the wedding party pop with pizzazz!
Next came some alone time for Linda and Mark... if you can call hanging out with your photographer and videographer that. :) We wandered around the grounds of Villa Montalvo and found beautiful nooks and crannies to have the newlyweds enjoy some peace and quiet. Eventually, we ended up at the Italianate Gardens onsite. The cypress tree lined path made it feel like we were far away from the Bay Area.
Following portraits, the party began at Villa Ragusa. The newlyweds greeted the guests as they entered the ballroom before making their own grand entrance. As a delicious dinner was served, members of the wedding party led toasts to the happy couple.
Linda and Mark started the dancing off for the evening with their first dance to You Are The Reason by Calum Scott. As the dance floor opened, the open bar helped friends and family join the party with lowered inhibitions and plenty of good dance moves.
