Spring is a simply beautiful season here in the Midwest - blooming flowers, warming temperatures, and the excitement of what is coming next (SUMMER)! This spring, we enjoyed visiting Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, to photograph Hannah & Brandon’s wedding.
We arrived at the salon to the sound of laughter and excitement as we stepped through the front door. Hannah, surrounded by her sisters, mother, and friends, was pampered by the lovely ladies of Glow Aesthetics and The Salon at Eighty Eleven.
As Hannah slipped into her wedding gown, the bridal look came to life. As she stepped out to the important ladies in her life, excitement (and a few tears) were shared.
We made our way over to the South Wood County Historical Museum - a beautiful 100-year-old mansion that sits on the water front of the Wisconsin River. With its beautiful pillars and brick, it was the perfect location for Hannah & Brandon’s first look.
On this beautiful day, we enjoyed the shade as the sun was bright and hot. We are so thankful that it was warm over the regular spring showers we had been experiencing. The mansion’s lawns made for a wonderful location for some bridal party portraits too!
Following the portrait time, we made our way to Immanuel Lutheran Church for the ceremony. Filled with lovely organ music, Hannah & Brandon’s ceremony was simply charming. They said their vows, gave rings, and sealed it with a kiss!
The reception began shortly after at Bull’s Eye Country Club. We wandered around the golf course on golf carts (always a highlight in our book) and found some beautiful areas for a few more bridal party photos!
We also made some time for some extra portraits of Hannah & Brandon. We wanted to highlight the beauty of the spring day that they wed on - which meant lots of light in their portraits and using the natural beauty of the country club!
As cocktail hour progressed, we took some time to capture the details that Hannah & Brandon so thoughtfully orchestrated for their day. Their colors flowed beautifully throughout the reception space and were perfect for their refreshing and spring wedding day.
Receptions are one of our favorite parts of the day to capture. There is always a lot of emotion shared and we love seeing everything from the Grand March to cake cutting. Okay, cake cutting is probably our favorite… They also brought out donuts later in the reception too!
Hannah & Brandon did a spin on the “shoe game” using cut outs of their faces rather than shoes! Following this fun get-to-know-the-couple game, Hannah danced with her dad just before sharing the first dance as husband and wife.
The party really began as Hannah tossed the bouquet and one of her sisters made the catch!
As with many of our couples, we snuck Hannah & Brandon out around sunset. Giving them a breath of fresh air, a little alone time, and some time to gather themselves, we snagged some beautiful and intimate portraits of the newlyweds.
We feel so fortunate to have captured Hannah & Brandon’s spring wedding in Wisconsin Rapids. The support from their friends and family was a lovely thing to be apart of.
