Liza and Chris had a simply beautiful wedding. Their day was a wonderful representation of them as a couple and their relationship: cheerful, bright, and filled with friends and family. Their relationship has always been defined by travel and adventure. They met as freshmen in college and have had several opportunities to travel abroad together, including a year-long move to London. They have traveled to many states and different countries together (with more to come soon as they honeymoon in Greece and Croatia). They had friends come from all over the United States and world come to celebrate their commitment to one another!

Liza and Chris prepared for their wedding day with joy and excitement. The details of Liza’s Mori Lee wedding gown were breathtaking.

Their first look was intimate, held off to the side of one of Silverwood Park’s many paths. Amid the shade of the trees, they shared in each other’s excitement for their day to continue.

Liza and Chris invited their dear friends and siblings to join their wedding party. With pops of yellow amid the navy and gray, their wedding party truly looked dashing! The ladies’ bouquets were made with fresh flowers from the local farmers’ market - what a wonderful way to support our local farmers!

Liza and Chris are enthusiastic about the outdoors. They spend every minute possible outside soaking up sunshine, biking, swimming, hiking, and camping. Chris proposed to Liza at Como Conservatory, so getting married outside, with a beautiful background of old oak trees and tall grasses, was the most natural spot for them to share their vows with one another.

Silverwood Park has a beautiful reception space. We loved the decorations and details that Liza and Chris assembled for their wedding reception. The bright and cheery sunflowers made appearances in each table’s centerpiece. They gave succulents as wedding favors!

Liza and Chris opened the dance floor by dancing to the upbeat song, 40 Day Dream by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. Their friends and family surrounded them as the song list played.

As the party continued, we snuck Liza and Chris outside for some golden hour portraits. The sky was a work of art as the colors swirled through clouds and made the world around us beautiful, warm colors.
