Kacee and Eric (and pups Oakley and Aria) joined us in a little pocket of redwoods in Los Altos. While many sojourn further into the Santa Cruz Mountains or north of San Francisco for portraits among the redwoods, we are happy to have a grove in the South Bay. While these redwoods are not naturally occurring, they have been in this grove since the 1920s!
It was important for Kacee and Eric to include their dogs in their portraits, so we excitedly strolled along the paths at Redwood Grove Preserve.

Once the pups needed a break, we went into the dried riverbed for more portraits of Kacee and Eric. Their chemistry came alive on camera as the sun peaked behind the redwoods, creating a warm glow.

Following our redwood adventures, we headed for the hills. In the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, Byrne Preserve is a beautiful open space to roam among the oak trees and grasslands. After a warmer than expected hike to the dream oak trees, we enjoyed the shade and cooled down before more portraits.
The hills were filled with beautiful, little, white flowers that we couldn't resist meandering through - only being met with Oakley and Aria's resistance. Turns out they had the right idea - the flowers were sticky, coating our shoes and pants!

Next September, Kacee and Eric are excited to celebrate their love with friends, family, and of course, their dogs!
