Wedding planning can be stressful, some couples handle it with grace - others not so much. Kristen & Brian are a power couple who were dealt a lot of extra changes to their wedding day and handled it in the most wonderful way possible. They took the many restrictions and unknowns of planning a wedding during Covid and turned it into a beautiful celebration.
Few wedding parties can say they got ready together during a tornado watch. Kristen & Brian, their friends, and families can all say that though!
Kristen and her dear friends joined together at her parents' home to prepare for the day. Conversation and music filled the air while makeup and hair were done. Dresses were zipped, and before we knew it - Kristen was walking down the stairs to see her father for the first time on her wedding day.
Brian prepared for the day at his & Kristen's home. In their cozy abode, the guys watched football and enjoyed a drink or two while they tied their ties.
As we arrived at Pool & Yacht Club, we positioned Brian on a dock along the Mississippi River. As boats blazed past and waves came in, Kristen walked towards Brian. The moment he turned around to see his bride, his face filled with joy. The happy couple shared quips about getting ready and beamed with anticipation for their upcoming ceremony.
Kristen & Brian's full wedding party arrived while we captured their portraits. Rain began to fall, so we hurried inside. After a few makeup touchups, the rain slowed and we headed to the area behind Pool & Yacht Club, where the ceremony would begin shortly. The guys and gals gathered around Kristen & Brian. Jokes and laughter were shared as the anticipation of the ceremony continued to build.
As their pup Louie joined the wedding party and all of the wedding party made their way to the front, all eyes turned to Kristen and her father. Many brides dream of a grand staircase entrance on their wedding day - Kristen had that very stunning entrance.
Kristen & Brian downsized their wedding guest list to about 30 and shared the ceremony via video chat for the rest of their guests. From an originally large party to an intimate get together, Kristen & Brian finally shared their vows and made it official! As they walked down the aisle and shared an almost forgotten kiss, the rain began to fall again. The rain held off with perfect timing!

With the pitter patter of the rain outside, the intimate celebration continued. Guests listened to the speeches of Kristen's father, the maid of honor, and best man as they shared stories of how the happy couple first met and the development of their relationship. The character of both Kristen & Brian was highlighted in every speech.
As the sun set outside, Kristen & Brian shared their first dance as husband and wife. They also shared beautiful dances with their parents.
Fewer guests doesn't have to mean less of a party on the dance floor! Kristen & Brian were joined on the dance floor as the music continued. Even Kristen's grandma danced and enjoyed the music!
