From our first meeting with Allison & Josh to their wintry engagement session, we had been looking forward to this day with great anticipation! For their wedding day, we captured both photography and videography. We are so excited to share their highlight video and some of our favorite images from their beautiful day!
The morning was cool, breezy, and even had a few snowflakes. So we bundled up and headed down to Rochester, MN to start our day with Allison & Josh.
We knew it’d be cold out for portraits, but Somerby Golf Club has so much beauty outdoors that we couldn’t help but get bride and groom outside for their portraits. We chose a spot that was ‘a little’ less windy than other areas, but also had beautiful autumn colors for their first look! We pushed through the breezy first look and headed to a little more sheltered area, where Allison & Josh spent some time with their pup, Addie!
One of our favorite parts of Allison & Josh’s wedding was the immensely supportive friends they had stand up with them. Not every wedding party would be willing to stand outside for so long to get portraits, but we are so in love with the results!
Allison & Josh had originally planned to have their ceremony outdoors. The outdoor ceremony area of Somerby is absolutely stunning, but as with most weddings - things changed. With the cold temperatures and gusty winds, they made the decision to move the ceremony indoors. Somerby sure does things right, the indoor space is absolutely stunning (and much less windy). Their ceremony was filled with emotion as the couple vowed to forever.
We snuck away the newlyweds outside for some more portraits after they walked down the aisle to "Today Was a Fairytale” by Taylor Swift (probably our new fave choice for a recessional song).
The reception space was absolutely magical and truly sophisticated in every sense. From the place settings to head table set up, we were stunned with Allison & Josh’s attention to detail to create a breathtaking space.
And then the party started…
There were tears, laughter, and so much fun on the dance floor.
