Mori Point is one of the most scenic, panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean you can find in the Bay Area. With an extravagant sight, Denise & Steven picked this Pacifica hotspot for their engagement portraits - before having ever seen it in person! We have recommended Mori Point for portraits for a while due to its incredible beauty and were so thrilled that Denise & Steven took us up on it.
We started their portraits on the beach below to enjoy the warm sand between our toes and the salty wind in our hair while helping get Lando (their adorable pup) used to the camera.
We then began our trek to the main event, stopping for a few portraits among the gnarly and rugged cypress trees along our way.
After a long climb up Bootleggers Steps and a stroll down Mori Headlands Trail we reached our destination to find it completely empty. A group passed us on our way down to the scenic spot which meant we got the views all to ourselves until just as we finished portraits.
We headed back towards our cars, taking the scenic route rather than the 185 stairs we had climbed on the way up. As we strolled, they shared about how they met, their first date at Jack London Square, and how fortunate they feel having met considering Denise is originally from New York and moved to the Bay Area for work. That seems to be how so many love stories go now and we think they are all beautiful.
