Mary and Michael's engagement session was one of the many effected by the great rainstorms of 2023. While January is one of our favorite months to photograph in, thanks to the cloudy skies and open schedules, this January was particularly difficult to plan for. With rain nearly every weekend, all of California has been drenched. The wait was certainly worth it though!
We met with Mary and Michael at Lovers' Lane in the San Francisco Presidio. The morning brought some sprinkles, leaving the eucalyptus-lined trail a bit damp and free from any other people. It's a rare day to have Lovers' Lane to oneself.
Following a glamorous walk through the woods, we took a trek down towards Marshall's Beach. Well worth the hike in, Marshall's Beach provided the perfect mix of seclusion and romance. The happy couple popped a bottle of bubbly and toasted to their many adventures ahead.
We cannot resist a cute snuggle sesh on a blanket on a sunny day. Mary and Michael were full of giggles as they relaxed for a moment and gazed up at the beautiful blue skies above.
This gorgeous couple has been together for about five years after a classic story of imperfect timing becoming perfect timing. Mary and Michael's chemistry is truly magical and they are both full of so much joy. The smiles caught on camera were not forced for a moment as they enjoyed their time together.
