Northern California is home to many photogenic gems, including many options for natural or urban settings. San Francisco holds many incredible urban photography locations as well as many incredible natural locations for those who want a little bit of both worlds - like Clarissa & Alex hoped for in their engagement portraits.

To start their photography session, we met them in the Marina District at a well-loved location: Palace of Fine Arts. Palace is a hot spot for photography in San Francisco. It boasts breathtaking, Beaux-Arts architecture (think ancient Rome meets Paris) and was originally built in 1915. Clarissa & Alex's vision for classic and elegant photos came to life with the perfect wardrobe to match their location! Even with strong and cold winds, they kept smiles on their faces and were magic on camera.

Following our time at Palace, we headed across the peninsula to Lands End. Lands End has always been one of our favorite places in San Francisco to explore. We are always elated to bring couples here for their portraits!

After a quick outfit change, we walked along the coastal trail for the coveted view of Golden Gate Bridge in the background of their portraits.

While the sun set, Clarissa & Alex snuggled along the cliffside.

We are so fortunate to capture love stories, like Clarissa & Alex's. We are thrilled to capture the beginning of the next chapter in their love story in June!
