Jill and Andrew's love story began in 2015 in Sacramento thanks to a temporary work transfer that became permanent. After a year of dating, the couple made the move to the Bay Area and have welcomed a few fur-babies into their family.
Andrew proposed by recreating their first date! They were in Sacramento for a weekend event and he suavely suggested turning it into a “mini-cation” as they had not had a time off together in awhile. He had lined up a boutique hotel room, a cherry red Porsche 911 for a “weekend-driver” car, and a very special dinner reservation. Jill eventually realized that they were recreating their first date after he suggested a walk by the waterfront following dinner. Andrew is ever the romantic, so Jill hadn't thought anything of the gesture as they arrived to the marina where they first fell head over heels so many years prior. They strolled down the dock in the moonlight and as they reached the end to turn back around, he dropped to one knee and asked the big question.
Fast forward a few years to a beautiful, sunny day in the Bay Area. Jill and Andrew had hustled to make their wedding a unique experience for all of their loved ones. What better way to experience the Bay Area than from on the Bay itself!
Jill and Andrew began their wedding day preparations at a luxurious hotel in San Francisco to give both themselves and their friends and family a calm start to the day. From final touches in the suite with Parks & Recreation playing in the background to their intimate first look in the hotel lobby, the day was filled with many touching moments as the couple headed across the Bay Bridge to embark on the boat ride of a lifetime.
Once arriving at the marina, Jill and Andrew were greeted by the remaining portion of their wedding party and we began our journey across the Bay to Pier 40 in San Francisco.
What better place for some alone time before all of your guests join the party than the captain's quarters? Unique wedding venues, like a yacht, also make for unique photography opportunities!
On the day of their wedding, the San Francisco Giants hosted a home game at Oracle Park. Our captain drove the yacht into McCovey Cove for the ceremony. Jill and Andrew enjoyed the cheers from onlookers as they sealed their marriage vows with a kiss!
Following mingling with their exclusive guests and some delicious food, the newlyweds were graced with beautiful speeches by loved ones and cut a slice of cake to share. The yacht made its way along the piers of the San Francisco Bay all the way out to Alcatraz.
As the reception continued, Jill and Andrew opened the dance floor with their first dance! Both also enjoyed dances with their parents before others joined to dance.
Capturing the essence of this extraordinarily intimate wedding was an absolute delight, and as a wedding photography and videography team, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. The glistening waters, the gentle sway of the yacht, and the backdrop of the San Francisco skyline created a romantic ambiance, reflecting the couple's deep connection and commitment to continue their journey together. It was an honor to document these precious moments and preserve them as timeless treasures for the newlyweds to cherish for a lifetime.
