As photographers, Yosemite National Park is like the holy grail of adventure photography. Having a session in the park was high up on our to-do list as we planned our California vacation for early-April and we're so glad we made it before the floods hit! (If you haven't seen anything about it, go watch this crazy video!!)

Maria & Christian were our kind hosts on our trip to California and we stayed with them in Santa Cruz. Christian and Trevor were roommates for a while during college and we met up with Maria while we were in Paris last June - so seeing them both again was fantastic! We were thrilled that they wanted to join us to Yosemite and snag some updated portraits of them. Since we visited in April, some of the roads throughout the park remained closed so they could be cleared from winter snow and impact from early-spring storms. This limited our time to the Valley of Yosemite. While we were unable to enjoy the views of Taft Point or Glacier Point, we were able to focus our time more on the extremely powerful waterfalls and the open fields that fill Yosemite Valley. We enjoyed strolling through the valley in various areas and getting soaked while standing at the base of Bridalveil Fall. It was truly an amazing experience and we can't wait to visit again!
