When we first met with Jenai & Mark for a cup of coffee, we knew we were in for a good time. They shared their vision for their wedding day: a day that perfectly encompassed who they are as individuals and a couple. Well, they planned exactly that.

Jenai & Mark got ready at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront. Friends and family (and their bernedoodle Oliver) joined them in a suite that was much bigger than our apartment and they started the celebration right then and there.

Before long, we took a stroll through St. Paul. We enjoyed the sunny, windy day as we walked from the InterContinental to Science Museum of Minnesota, just a few blocks away. There’s something absolutely beautiful in the ordinary. A walk down a regular city street in your wedding dress makes the moment pause and the whole world stops.

Upon arriving at Science Museum of Minnesota, cocktail hour had begun. Jenai and Mark greeted their guests and enjoyed beverages as they mingled.

Jenai and Mark had their ceremony on the edge of the Elements Cafe, overlooking the entrance of Science Museum of Minnesota. What some may have seen as a very simple setting and short ceremony, we found to be intimate, warm, and inviting. Their ceremony was less than ten minutes long and one of the most heartwarming ceremonies we have ever witnessed.

A super cool part of hosting a wedding at Science Museum of Minnesota is that guests get free admission to the museum that day! We snuck Jenai and Mark away from their guests for a bit to explore the museum exhibits with them.

It wouldn’t be a visit to the museum without visiting the giant astronaut, would it? Jenai also enlightened us that the astronaut was from Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival in 2014, how cool is that? We definitely watched a couple of cool videos of how they installed the giant astronaut as an exhibit in the atrium back in 2015.

We also checked out some dino bones. One of the employees also brought out a dinosaur jaw bone for Mark to use in a couple of photos. We all curiously asked WHERE DO YOU GET ONE OF THOSE? To which the employee replied OUR OFFICE. We all died laughing…

Returning back to friends and family led to the newlyweds’ favorite drinking game: flip cup.

Jenai and Mark shared their first dance together to open up the dance floor. Impressed doesn’t even begin to label our thoughts of their friends and family dancing that evening!

Jenai and Mark are fans of the Canadian sitcom, Schitt’s Creek. Mark planned a surprise for Jenai - he danced for her to The Best by Tina Turner, just like David dances for Patrick! It was such a beautiful and fun moment to capture and be a part of!
