2018 has blessed us with two winter weddings! Kayla & Tony's wedding has had us excited from day one. We went down to Red Wing in mid-October to check out the St. James Hotel and the excitement continued to grow. Of all our weddings we've done, Kayla & Tony's oozes with elegance, class, and is the pure picture of timelessness. The St. James Hotel in Red Wing, MN set the stage for their day and truly made their wedding perfect!

Kayla & Tony's love story is just as sweet as they are and as sweet as their dessert table was... ;) Their story (from their wedding website) shares how the two met and fell in love:

"In the spring of 2014, Kayla was in the midst of her first year of law school. And Tony, who had finished college a few years back, was in the middle of starting his own career in the medical device industry. Having pretty chaotic schedules they both managed to tend to their personal lives and find themselves on an online matchmaking site. While neither Kayla nor Tony was looking for a ‘love-of-their-life’ type relationship, they were both open to the chance to meet someone new with similar interests and goals. Despite being at different stages of their lives and quite opposites, they were matched and began sending messages and getting to know each other. Shortly after they started talking, Tony asked Kayla to join him for a casual drink. Even though Kayla was still a little hesitant, their first date led to a second where they shared laughs at a comedy club. That is when they really hit it off and from that night on, Kayla and Tony quickly grew from casual friends to devoted companions. Neither ever looked back.

Fast forward to the morning of New Year’s Eve 2016. Tony planned a winter hike through the trails at Elm Creek Park. Although a little brisk, they were bundled up and clear blue sky let the sun shine down to keep them warm. The two had the park to themselves. After exploring the trails and sliding down icy hills, Tony stopped by a beautiful open water creek, got a little nervous, and popped the question. With no hesitation, Kayla said “yes!” Tony was overcome with relief; not only to have Kayla agree to be his wife, but also to not have dropped the ring into the water during the exchange. They then took a moment to sit by the creek together and enjoy what just transpired. Once the moment had a chance to be “frozen” in their memories forever, Kayla proceeded to speed walk the rest of hike leaving Tony in her wake so she could get back to the car and immediately call her family and friends."
